How do I fire?
Tap cells on the targeting grid to lock them. Press "Fire Locked Targets" when all shots are selected. Your volley size depends on the active Fire Mode.
What is Fire Mode?
Controls how many shots you fire per turn — Single (1) or Quad (4). Set it in the Rules of Engagement screen before starting a match.
What is the Opening Turn setting?
Determines who fires first. Host/Player 1 always goes first, Guest/Player 2 always goes first, or Coin Flip decides randomly each match.
What boards are available?
Three boards are available: Classic (10×10 square grid, 100 cells), Circular (based on a 12×12 grid with rounded corners, 112 playable cells), and Hex (10×11 rectangular layout with hex cell geometry, 110 playable cells). Select your board in the setup screen before each match.
What does "Continue on Launch" do?
When enabled, returning to the app after closing mid-match automatically reloads your last active match without going through the setup flow.
What are Enhanced Battle Effects?
Optional visual effects on the battle board, including board distortion when ships take damage and a sonar sweep animation. These automatically disable when Reduce Motion, Low Power Mode, or high device temperature is detected.
How does Local Network work?
One player selects Host and waits; the other selects Join and picks the host from a peer browser. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network or close enough for Bluetooth.
How does SharePlay work?
Start a FaceTime call first, then open a SharePlay match from the Multiplayer menu. The other FaceTime participant will receive an invitation to join.
How does Game Center work?
Sign into Game Center in iOS Settings, then use the matchmaker to create or find a match. Both players need an active Game Center account.
Why is music quieter during SharePlay?
SharePlay matches happen alongside a live FaceTime call. Audio is automatically reduced so it doesn't interfere with your conversation. This cannot be changed.
Having trouble connecting?

If you run into connection problems, you can export a transport debug log from within the app. Go to About, scroll to the Multiplayer section, and tap "Share Debug Log."

The log captures connection events and error details — no personal information is included. Share it with us at support@pelted.io and we'll take a look.
